+I finally tried out <a href='http://www.knoppix.org/'>Knoppix</a> last night.  Wow, it's really cool!  It auto-detected everything, then started up <a href='http://www.xfree86.org/'>X</a> and <a href='http://www.kde.org/'>KDE</a>.  If you want to show of Linux to your friends, <em>this</em> is what you should be showing them :).
