+I saw a link to <a href='http://www.cs.rpi.edu/~musser/gp/introsort.ps'>Introspective Sorting</a> over at <a href='http://www.rubygarden.org/'>Ruby Garden</a>. According to the calculations, the author believes it's better than <code>qsort()</code>. Basically it is <code>qsort()</code>, except it switches to heapsort in worst-case scenarios for <code>qsort()</code>. Really interesting read.
